Caserta
Your adventure begins in Caserta, renowned for its enchanting Royal Palace of Caserta (Reggia di Caserta), a UNESCO World Heritage site acquired in the mid-18th century by Bourbon King Charles III. This magnificent palace features over 1,200 rooms and 1,790 windows, adorned with lavish chandeliers, gilded frescoes, and impressive tapestries. Designed by architect Luigi Vanvitelli and completed by his son, construction began in 1752 and was not fully finished until the Throne Room was completed in 1847.
As you explore the palace, be sure to visit the breathtaking gardens, which are home to spectacular fountains, a fishpond, and natural woodlands. The gardens feature a stunning 75-meter-high waterfall that cascades dramatically and is visible from the palace, located just 3 kilometres away. Naples
Next, we’ll head to Naples, affectionately known as “Bella Napoli.” This vibrant city is famous for its rich history and the warmth of its friendly people. Begin your exploration in the historic centre, a UNESCO World Heritage site, where narrow streets are filled with shops, cafés, and local artisans. Visit the Duomo di San Gennaro, a stunning cathedral dedicated to the city’s patron saint, known for its beautiful frescoes and the miraculous blood of San Gennaro.
Don’t miss the National Archaeological Museum, which houses one of the world’s finest collections of Greco-Roman artifacts, including exquisite mosaics from Pompeii and Herculaneum.
